The refurbishment of an imposing Victorian Villa, positioned on one of the most prestigious boulevards in Barnes, is one of the latest projects undertaken by the newly established, Studio III. A boutique London-based interior design studio, founded by passionate, creative and experienced entrepreneurs – Sandra, Laura and Abby (alumna of the prestigious KLC School of Design).

This South West London property, designed and built for the current owners, was the subject of a meticulous three year design and refurbishment process. The film executive owner brought together a hand-picked team to create the house, using the very best expertise, design creativity, architecture and engineering skills, combined with the highest quality materials.

Studio III were responsible for all FF&E design and finishes, including drapery and upholstery. The design goal was to create a luxurious, classic yet contemporary style in keeping with the period of the house and suitable for future on-sell. A collection of internationally sourced furniture from iconic designers and manufacturers, all specially procured for the house was juxtaposed by elegant window dressings and soft furnishings made with luxurious fabrics and trims in a colour palette and style to compliment the overall scheme.

The 7,500sqft family home consisting of seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, drawing room, study, open plan kitchen, formal dining room, snug, media room and playroom required a mix of floor length double pleat curtains with covered lathes and fascias, roman blinds, cushions, and a re-upholstered piano stool. Studio III chose a variety of fabrics from Colefax and Fowler, Sanderson, Chase Erwin, and Jane Churchill to name a few, and coupled many of the window dressings and cushions with trims from one of their favourite suppliers, Samuel and Sons.
