Kingswood Oxfordshire
Interior Designer Clare Gaskin was approached by a customer with whom she had worked with on two previous properties. Her customer had decided to move from their country barn to a new build Queen Anne style house in Oxfordshire.
They were keen to incorporate the classic dark wood antique furniture they already had. Clare came up with a traditional/classical style with a few modern twists. Roman blinds for the kitchen using a beautiful Robert Allen fabric with a contemporary pattern to having upholstered pelmets in a plain fabric over patterned curtains to sheer eyelet curtains on the walkway to the swimming pool.
We did encounter some challenges, such as circular window, in the style of a ships porthole. Sue came up with a design solution – which turned out to be fabric upholstered plug!
