This was a challenging project carried out by Sue Whimster Curtains in August 2008. London based Interior designer, Christina Fallah, who has worked with Sue on projects, in Knightsbridge, Notting Hill Gate and Hampstead, approached Sue Whimster Curtains to work on a boat refurbishment.

Lady Vista is a vintage yacht moored in Penzance, Cornwall. The job specification involved finding window treatments suitable for sea fairing conditions ensuring that the designs were able to tolerate rough seas. Sue and her fitter travelled from London to Cornwall to ‘come up with’ ideas, along with Christina and her team, that would work on a yacht that spends several months sailing the world. Together they came up with perfect solutions for the unusual shaped slanting windows. Curtains, Roman blinds, roller blinds and shutters were used and all fitted to ensure that they were able to withstand movement. Coordinating accessories such as cushions and bed throws were added to great effect. Sue completed the job within a very tight schedule and both Christina and her clients were delighted.
