Established by two brothers in 1884 and holder of the Royal Warrant since 1982, GP & J Baker is renowned worldwide as an innovator in fabric design, wallcoverings and trimmings. As an elite member, we now hold GP & J Baker’s complete fabric book collection for 2016 and can offer its full range of beautiful fabrics direct to our clients – make an appointment to visit us and view them here in our South East London workroom.
The current collection includes modern interpretations of designs from GP & J Baker’s famed archive alongside beautiful signature prints, weaves and embroideries, with offerings to suit décor from traditional to contemporary.
Based in London’s Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, GP & J Baker’s extensive flagship showroom showcases the company’s own lines alongside those from the world’s leading fabric brands, including Kravet, Lee Jofa and Brunschwig & Fils, as well as luxury fabrics, wallpapers and accessories produced under licence with Mulberry Home.

Kravet
Established in 1918, New York state-based Kravet is a fifth-generation family business distributing innovative and beautifully crafted fabrics, wallcoverings and furnishings. From its origins as a small fabric house, Kravet has since grown to become a leading supplier to the global interior design trade, with exclusive brands and famous designers such as Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Kate Spade and Jonathan Adler proudly in its portfolio.

Mulberry Home
Following the success of its namesake fashion brand, Mulberry Home was launched in 1991 to offer an eclectic range of fabrics and wallpapers. The British brand combines inspiration from its English heritage with a modern touch, introducing new ideas and colours through seasonal themes – but always with a nod to its traditional roots.

Brunschwig & Fils
Founded in 1891 by Achille Brunschwig, Brunschwig & Fils is the brand of choice for designers after traditional Gallic appeal. The company’s beautiful fabrics, furnishings and wallcoverings are particularly suited to grand schemes – as evidenced by their use in some of the world’s most iconic residences, from the Palace of Versailles to the White House.

Baker Lifestyle
As GP & J Baker’s diffusion line, Baker Lifestyle offers an accessible interpretation of its main collection with fresh, pretty fabrics and wallpapers in a range of adaptable shades. Threads at GP & J Baker

Lee Jofa
With humble roots of an Englishman, George Johnson, supplying rope and rigging to New York’s clipper ships in the early 19th century, Lee Jofa is the current incarnation of the partnership Johnson and Faulkner and now produces some the world’s most luxurious fabrics. Its decorative fabric line includes many famous designs from its archive, while its contemporary arm, Groundworks, offers innovative weaves, textures and prints.
