Sue Whimster Curtains Ltd is based in South East London and is looking to recruit a new Office Administrator.
Sue Whimster Curtains makes all types of soft furnishings for the top end of the London market, with the majority of customers being interior designers.
The successful applicant will join a company of 18 staff and will be given full training, and will work with the in house estimating software.
The applicant will sit with a team of 5 full time project managers. The position is full time – Monday to Friday and could lead to a full time project manager role in the future.
1/ Answering phone
2/ Answer emails
3/ Doing estimates and quotations
4/ Help Project managers with estimates
5/ Send out samples
6/ General office duties
Salary will be based on previous experience…(We are also happy to see people with project managing experience as well, and the role could be tailored to your experience.)
We are looking for a candidate who’s is energetic, has a good eye for detail and the ability to prioritise your own workload is a must. You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will be will have a high attention to detail who takes ownership and seeks solutions.
An interest in interior design, good maths skills, and be a good communicator, and a willingness to learn.
Starting Salary up to 25k depending on Previous experience

Project Manager

The applicant will sit with a team of 5 full time project managers. The position is full time – Monday to Friday and could lead to a full time senior project manager role in the future.
1/ Project planning and supporting the estimating team to deliver proposals.
2/ Site and home visits for measurement and checking
3/ Timely ordering of fabrics and consumables from suppliers to ensure project deadlines are hit.
4/ The creation and validity of manufacturing and fitting team job sheets
5/ Actively ensure your projects are quality checked effectively
6/ Organising and updating fitting teams
7/ Following up with customers and teams and managing snagging
The is a rewarding role. You will be working with top Interior designers on some of the most prestigious properties in the country.
Salary will be based on previous experience. This is a busy project management role, so strong organisational skills are a must. You will be an effective communicator over the phone by email or in person. You will be proficient in delivering multiple projects on time and budget.

Curtain and Blind Fitter
We are a successful high end curtain, blinds & and soft furnishing manufacturers based in Woolwich (SE28)
We are currently looking for an energetic person with knowledge of curtains and curtain installation, to join our team.
This full time position is mainly based in our workroom in Woolwich where you will be required to check curtains, blinds etc. for size, quality before they are sent to site. Attention to detail is essential.
One or two days a week you will be required to visit customers for snagging jobs, such as repairs to blinds / tracks etc. You will also be required to help our existing fitters when required.
The job also includes delivering work to fitters/site, helping in the workroom making chain systems etc. We may also need help in the office with filing etc.
In general, an all round Team player & problem solver
You will need to have the following qualities:

The job requires you to have:
1. Clean driving licence / Own van if possible
2. Have experience of Excel & Outlook
